Ukraine has a single phone contact number 112 for emergencies. Three groups of providers are prepared to deal with emergencies in Kyiv – the national government (police and security guard services), Kyiv authorities (ambulance and urgent health care, fire fighting, etc.), and the private sector (security guard services, ambulance and urgent health care, etc.). The quality of services offered by different public and private sector providers varies a lot but the private sector services are generally better than those provided by the public sector organisations.
